SHOULD MEN BE WEARING 'JEGGINGS'?

pic: x-shoes.com

It's a simple answer from yours truly: yes, yes and yes, again!
When I first discovered jeggings I thought to myself how lucky girls are that they can wear these super-tight pants that look more like leggings than a proper pair of denim pants.
Well, now, according to the catwalks of Milan (and New York Times fashion reporter Guy Trebay), jeggings for men are a trend to look out for.
I'm personally quite sceptical about giving too much power to the runway as the dictator of trends, simply because such is no longer such a steady fact, but if there's one trend I'll allow any fashion week to dictate to me... This is the one!
I love me some jeggings and I can't wait to get a pair on this skinny frame of mine.

I am all for skinnies (wich still have some kind of structure) but jeggings are a big no for me!

PS> treggings, leggings, meggings/mannings YES. jeggings - NO!

Based on aesthetics and that only.

I really hope jeggings and meggings catch on in popular fashion. I am about this close to buying some women's jeggings just so that I can wear them. If they made them for men I'd be right there.

I'd love to get a pair of these! But I can't find any sized/styled for guys. If anybody knows where to find them, let us know-- please! To me, this is the natural evolution of tight sk8r pants-- but even tighter and more comfortable to wear.

Yes, yes, yes ! they are pants, hence, always have been menswear not female or cross-dressers' clothes; they are mostly denim---a more masculine fabric and spandex, a synthetic stretchy fiber created by a " male " Dupont scientist; if males are told its not for them---then who ? By contrast, certainly not transvestite females !

Not Your Daughters Jeans brand " jeggings " would work/fit well on males---go for it. All our Hollywood cowboy heroes all wore " Jeggings " type cowboy riding pants with pant hems tucked into tall equestrian or cowboy boots;( This occurred way back from the 1930's into the early 1960's; way before female cross-dressing became the dominant look in fashion ) gives a lean , longer , slim look to your lower body; Think of " The Lone Ranger " , Cisco Kid, Roy rogers, Zorro, Gene Autry, Tom Mix and Hopalong Cassidy.Masculine heroes; all !

If cross-dressing women can wear menswear , why not men ? Reverse the fashion gender bias; men wore every style of womenwear but women dare not wear menswear but started to wear a womenwear style geared towards a very receptive male population to this certain style and now mocks and insults are delivered to females for trying to use this feminine style also.

YES, YES, YES...
TO ALL THE HATERS:
We don't need anyone's approval on what we wear. If yeast infections of fems who have been wearing tight jeans now advanced to skintight and beyond in their desparate quest to attract men for the past 30 years, so be it! We have more than enough fems who need attention from men and will do and say anything to grab their attention and continually express their own personal views about men who they think are taking attention away from them and their yeast infecting ways...... STOP THE HATE... YO' Bro. Do what u like. Don't let HATERS judge you... If you do, then that's SAD :<( . This is also go for the male haters....

I am a 52 years old straight German male, and I wear skintight jeans every day since I was 25. It has been tough at times to stand the disgust of male observers or the snicker of young girls: „GAY, GAY, GAY!“ But it’s worth it! The feeling is just overwhelming. There were years when skintight jeans were hard to find for purchasing, I had to have tight fitting jeans tailored to skin tightness around the ankles then. But in 2012 the offers for sale are great once again: Lee, Nudie or Cheap Monday are the ones I like best. Now I bought my first jeggings from Sort Denim – very fine! The best skintight jeans ever were back in the 80s from German brand Mustang. I still own some of them: very robust even after heavy wear and washing, and they can be repaired easily. Try for yourself!
